La cucina Italiana is beyond finger licking good. Packed with genuine Italian dishes. Because whether you choose a pizza, pasta or a meat dish, the ingredients always get a nice place of honor.. But which dish do you choose when you drop by Da Giovanni? Our team members don't have to think about that for long and will be happy to let you in on their favourite Italian dish.
Dining room manager Rafaelle goes for our Spaghetti Al Pomodore e Basilico. A classic Italian pasta with tomatoes and basil to give the sauce a fresh touch. And if Rafaelle is to be believed, it is our chef Antimo's speciality.

You'd think our pizza chef Borelli would opt for a pizza, but nothing could be further from the truth. His favourite dish: Penne Amatriciana, a traditional pasta with sauce made of tomato, onion and bacon. And it is that last ingredient that gives this pasta extra character. You can serve the sauce on different types of pasta, but it goes best with penne.
"My favourite dish is undoubtedly Penne Amatriciana because of the beautiful combination of flavours: sautéed bacon on onion and tomato sauce made from fresh tomatoes. Every Italian loves that."

Chef Antimo's favourite dish is also a pasta, Linguine Alle Vongole. A traditional Italian dish with long, thin pasta and fresh vongole or Venus clams cooked in a sauce of white wine and garlic. Felicità on your plate - this flavour explosion is a popular pasta dish in Italy for a reason.
"In this pasta dish, you taste the flavour of the sea, heightened by tiny tomatoes and delicious garlic. The dish reminds me of a beautiful summer day at the seaside in Italy."

Pizza chef Giorgio also opts for a pasta, with Lasagna di Carne, a lasagne made with minced meat, tomato-bechamel sauce and cheese topping his list. And the most flavourful Italian herbs cannot be missing either: basil, oregano and rosemary give the dish extra verve.
